Middle Ground started out as a pipe dream. After many nights and months of brainstorming, marketing, and developing, the team made the daydream a reality. Meet the team that makes this all possible.
Justin Hou
Justin Hou is a senior at Gunn High School and president/co-founder of Gunn Middle Ground. He hopes that he can spread the importance of having active conversation and empathy through the podcasts he and the team produces. Outside of Middle Ground, Justin also enjoys playing basketball with friends, water polo on the school team, and guitar in his free time.
Travis Chew
Travis Chew is a senior at Gunn High School and president/co-founder of Gunn Middle Ground. He aims to build a closely-knit community through his involvement in the club. In his spare time, he enjoys playing Tetris, rapping, and spending time with friends.
Basil Lera
One of Basil’s goals is to show other young people the power of coding, and to inspire others to get into programming. She has won many awards with her skill in programming and enjoys giving back to the community with her friends.
Albert Yang
Albert Yang is a Gunn High School sophomore and creative director at Gunn Middle Ground. He hopes that he can meet new people and spread ideas through Gunn Middle Ground. Outside of school, he enjoys biking, listening to music, and texting friends.
Benny Guo
Benny Guo is a junior at Gunn High School and technology lead at Gunn MIddle Ground. He hopes that by working to give voices that those often passed under the radar, a more open conversation about important and pressing issues in the world can be had. When not working on Gunn Middle Ground, Benny can be found cooking and watering his plants.
Badal tamang
Badal Tamang is a senior at Gunn High School. He is in charge of editing podcasts and manages Gunn Middle Ground's social media. Other than school and Gunn Middle Ground Badal enjoys playing guitar, making music, and playing video games with friends.
